Grape Seed is a natural plant substance which contains a concentrated source of oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs). It is one of the most powerful antioxidants, as well as being an excellent source of essential fatty acids and tocopherols. Grape Seed also crosses the blood brain barrier to protect the brain and nerve tissue from free radical damage, which most antioxidants can't do. It has been exhaustively studied for decades. A recent study showed that resveratrol helps inhibit platelet aggregation and is the component responsible for many of red wine's health benefits. It has antifungal, antitumor and antioxidant properties.
